Okay, since I'm on a Hiiro no Kakera and Fujita Maiko obsessive roll, I decided to translate the lyrics of the character songs and all. So here's the first, and I'll keep on posting the rest. At least I have a new reason to continue coming to my blog, lol; The YouTube vid autoplays and loops, and I LOVE that song. Unortunately, I don't know who sang it, or if the person who sang this song is called "Promise You", because the caption before the song starts says "Music by [Promise you]". Seriously, English can be a confusing language sometimes. XD
Anyway, I'd like if anyone could get the title and the singer of my YouTube vid for me, please? So I can download the song. I have this version because I downloaded it off YT, and converted it into an Mp3 format.
About Takuma's character song, I think it's somewhat like him. It starts off with a mysterious tune, quite solemn and melancholic at the same time. Tomokazu Sugita-san's voice here (also the voice for Kyon in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) sounds so haunting and deep it sends shivers down my spine... Brrrrr! *__*. The pace of the song picks up at the chorus, then slows down again to a sedate pace, and gains tempo in the end before another slow stop. To me, the whole song reflects Takuma-kun's thoughts, and builds up a climax at the last part before a slow stop. After all, Takuma-kun is the descendant of the Oni, forced to bend and protect the Tamayohime, so he is very reluctant about his duty as a Guardian, but in the end, he falls in love with her. He can't control his power too, so probably that explains the fluctuations of tempo and rhythm in the song. It's like a story of his inner thoughts, really.. where he's first bitter towards his duty, and then slowly begins to warm up to Tamaki, falling in love and swearing to protect her in the end.
Just like the game storyline. XD
But all in all, I TOTALLY love this song. ^^
