Report: Ugly the Cat

This is a story about a cat named Ugly that my brother JC posted up on MySpace bulletins. I skimmed it over once and it made me cry, so I read it again to really understand it. This story about a stray little cat in search of love is just so touching and sad, I sometimes wonder.. why do people treat animals so cruelly and turn them away?

Try putting yourself in Ugly's shoes. How would it feel like, then?

When I was reading this, I imagined my own cat in Ugly's place, and I felt really painful inside.

During my high school days, there was a tom cat exactly like Ugly in my school. Though his condition wasn't as bad as Ugly's, his head, ears and shoulders were covered in scabs and sores, and he was pitifully thin. The students would scream and run each time he came near them to beg for a bit of food during recess, and water would be splashed on him to chase him away. I made my fame in MGS during my time as the cat girl, so it wasn't surprising that I was the only one who fed it, gave it a name and gave it at least a bit of love.

I didn't care about how it was, scabs or skin disease or not, I would stroke it, scratch it under it's chin and pet it's head. For a year, this cat survived with me feeding it.

Then the holidays came and went and I returned for Form 5. I didn't see this cat around at first, and when he retured, it was clear that it was nearing it's life's end. Over the holidays with no one to feed it, my little Stripey had grown thin, and was weak, moving with a crawl and hardly a meow to beg for food. The scabs on his shoulders had spread to his legs, and he looked worse then before. I fed it, but it was clear that there was nothing I could do to save him.

It was one of the worst days in my life when I watched him starve to death, the only girl in a school of hundreds that cried for a single, starving cat.

When I was in Form 1, I bought a book at a second-hand book fest called 'The Snow Kitten', by Nina Warner Hooke. This tale made me cry the entire time I was reading it, from the first page to the last. It has a happy ending, though. I'm grateful because someone thought of posting it up on the internet for everyone to read, and I hope that those who read it will realise the cruelty of abandonment and that it's wrong to mistreat stray animals.

I have always been a lover of cats since I was a kid. I don't know why, but everywhere I go, there the cats are. I've played with and missed a lot of different stray cats in my life, but the cat that I remember the most is a little Seal Point I named Serena. I first met her in the rain, and she was the one that made me realize that even strays need a bit of love. She was ever ready for a pat and was always rubbing up against my leg for attention. Long gone now, I still give Serena my love and I will never forget her.

I cried when I type this post out.

I cry for all the stray animals out there that are searching for a bit of love, and I cry for all the stray animals I've known in my life and have gone.

From puppy to dog, I had you for a year
Only a stray, yet my loyal companion
My best friend, my guardian while I walked
I loved you like my own~

Report: Hu hahahah....

Wah... some ppl so inconsiderate wan.... Day before yesterday was walking home from the bus stop and it was raining hard, so no choice, wet also I gotta walk cause it was already almost 7. So there I was wearing a hoodie and all to keep myself dry, walking back in the rain when I reached this part of the shops that was flooded. No choice wat, what to do, hafta go out and walk on the pavement la.

So close to my home, yet I got all wet.. T^T

There was a jam as usual from the school behind my house, with a police car stuck there, and policemen watching the road. Out of no where comes this green Perodua and splashes water all over me. Some ppl think it's so funny to see a gal get wet.. purposely spped up and run right into a puddle to splash water all over my pants.

Got so pissed off and police didn't do anything at all.. >_>;;

Haizz... has been so lazy to write in lately since last week..
